Springtime flowers

Lot of flowers coming and going this spring.  Kristine had her prom last weekend and looked pretty. We have also had a couple of campfires in the backyard.  This coming week both Kris and Katie will be in the Peoria Christian High School production of Beauty and the Beast.

Katie's Turn at Survivor: Babylon

This weekend featured another Peoria Christian School production of Survivor: Babylon.  Kristine was involved in a production back in 2010 (see: http://pixofthedayandstuff.blogspot.com/2010/04/survivor-babylon.html). This year it is Katie's turn, and she did well.  Kris spent most of the weekend at a TEC event.  My parents are here in town to see the play, and today we visited Good's Furniture in Kewanee, IL, and Happy Joe's Pizza in Galesburg, IL.  The weather has swung back to cold, with snow/sleet seen on Friday and this morning.  Speaking of cold, some of us have been battling colds lately. This past Wednesday evening, I helped to host the annual banquet of the Illinois Heartland Section of the ACS.  Glad I did not get a cold until after that big event.

Busy Spring

We have all been pretty busy lately with Karen as Assistant Director at A+ Children's Academy and other roles, Katie and Kris both involved in Peoria Christian School and drama and other things, and me with lots of meetings and etc. at Bradley.  Schedules are a bit of a juggling act, but we are thankful that it often works out.  The weather has been best described as "roller-coaster."  Friday evening we saw a few snowflakes in the air, but today temperatures reached nearly 80.  Pictures include Easter activities from last weekend, flowers, and Katie planting potatoes in the garden today.
