Cooler and Wetter

Rainy this week, including 2 inch hail and a tornado far to the west.  Just after I got home from work Monday night a storm rolled overhead and knocked down branches and a couple shingles. It often smells pretty good after a rain around here - not that it smells real bad at other times - can't quite put a finger on it but there is something about it reminds me of the Pacific Northwest.  A smell that I will probably forever associate with the parks and woods around here I think might be due to the cedars, or maybe the live oaks, too - a sort of evergreen odor with little bit of a burnt odor mixed in.
