Platinum Star

Here is a reaction that went awry (chemists have a lot of those :*) ) and produced a few "stars" made from platinum nanoparticles.  Not terribly useful, but pretty.  I guess that yesterday was a good day for hospital stuff, I know of two visits (a birth and a cancer surgery) that were apparently successful.  Today I finished reading/skimming the entire Bible (including the Deuterocanonicals).  I have been plowing through it since about August, mostly on the bus.  I had read big sections of it before, but I figured since I was almost 42 it was high time that I read the rest.  I'm hoping eventually some of the content will sink in for the better. :*)
