Packing (I)

Katie's soccer game yesterday morning was a mess: only 3 kids showed up from our team in the rain and even her coach did not show up. A parent took over coaching but there was not much enthusiasm. Yesterday also had various Bradley graduation events. I got some warm fuzzies from some students that really hit the spot after this past semester. I stopped along the Illinois River briefly to take some pictures of the mild flooding. Kris also did OK at a piano recital yesterday. This morning had some sadness - Kris's pet turtle passed away. We are all sad, I had not realized a turtle could have as much personality as this one did. We buried Tina in the back yard and planted a hosta over her. We also started packing (more like rearranging and taking stock) a bit more for the Texas sabbatical trip than we have been. Anybody want to rent a house near Peoria for a year? Kris finally cleared out the basement play loft (which she had outgrown) and Katie has moved some of her stuff in. We will be getting rid of lots of baby clothes and supplies, so we cleared out most of the attic and filled the living room to sort things.
