Semester's End

The long spring semester is winding down. Without whining or boasting too much, suffice it to say it was a pretty intense but also somewhat productive school year for me. Kris and Katie have a few more weeks of classes. I will teach May Interim for a few students starting on Monday and will be doing some research, but we also need to get cracking and get packing. Some items of note: the family did the Race for the Cure last Saturday (the weather was great). Mother's Day featured a cookout with a campfire and corn on the cob (note Katie running around in a toy boat like a parade clown). Monday night Katie's soccer coach could not attend, so Karen was asked to fill in and she stepped up nicely. It got quite warm for a few days this week, including breaking a daily record high (91 F) set back in the 1890s, but now the rain appears to have finally moved in to cool things off.
