This morning Kris and I retreived the ammonite that she found (it broke, but not in too many pieces we hope). We had fun looking at other stuff. Somehow I lost my pick - hope I find it. It was little cooler today, so this afternoon we took some kayaks out on the river near downtown. We had fun and saw some wildlife. In other news the wildfires continue to burn both to the east (I think that might be the Bastrop fire plume way beyond the Austin skyline) and to the west. We are safe, but many people out of town have lost homes. The winds are calming down, and the cooler temps should help slow these fires down. Still no rain in the forecast.
