Karen and Katie and looking back: Qingman Village

I'm still recovering from yesterday's surgery, with the assistance of a small arsenal of meds and icepacks. Here are some pix from around the house. Karen and Katie did some exercises. (It hurt just to watch.) The temps were in the 50s and we spent some time outside. The crocuses have finally opened! I walked about 2 blocks; the others walked much farther. Karen dug out some roller skates for Katie - she loved them. Katie also enjoyed the toy car we dug out for her, she also liked to run it into the mailbox.
Our trip to Qingman village in the Guizhou province was one of the best days of the China trip. We have already blogged about the trip to this Miao village, now here are some pictures. (There are so many others I want to show, and so many I wish had turned out better.) Dancing (terribly) to Miao folk music, with the strange sound of the bamboo pipes, remains one of my favorite memories from the whole trip.
